Beyond the ordinary

Quality Home Childcare Focused on Growth and Learning

At my home childcare, I provide a nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive. My program emphasizes early literacy and numeracy skills, helping your child build a strong foundation for future learning. I also focus on developing essential social skills, ensuring children feel confident interacting with peers in a supportive setting. Preparing for kindergarten is a priority, and I include activities designed to ease the transition into formal education. To inspire creativity, I offer a variety of arts and crafts projects that encourage self-expression and fine motor development. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and educational space where every child feels valued and supported.

Driven by passion

I am a passionate and experienced Child and Youth Worker with a strong background in supporting children’s educational and personal growth. My professional journey includes working with the Peel Board of Education as an Educational Resource Facilitator (ERF), where I developed skills in creating inclusive learning environments and fostering meaningful connections with students. Additionally, I have spent the past four years homeschooling my son, a role that has further honed my patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching. My ability to connect with children stems from my commitment to understanding their unique needs and finding innovative ways to make learning engaging and effective. Whether in a classroom or at home, I am dedicated to helping children thrive academically and emotionally.

We are what we eat

While in my care, children are served a nutritious vegetarian menu that caters to their growing needs. I provide freshly prepared meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, all made with care in our home kitchen. I respect and accommodate individual dietary concerns to ensure every child enjoys delicious and healthy food in a supportive environment.

Curriculum

Just as children learn through play, they also thrive when exposed to repetition and routine. These consistent practices help reinforce critical skills and build a strong foundation for learning. At the heart of early education are essential activities such as mastering Dolch sight words, exploring phonics, practicing printing, and developing key mathematical skills like counting, addition, subtraction, and grouping. Daily routines like circle time not only foster a sense of community but also provide predictability, helping children feel secure and ready to learn. Additionally, incorporating activities like yoga encourages mindfulness and supports both physical and mental well-being. By combining structured routines with engaging activities, children are given the tools they need to succeed and grow in a nurturing, balanced environment.
